M.Hafeez plans to retire after ICC T20 WC

One of the Pakistan’s most experienced and senior cricketer, well-known as professor; M.Hafeez has decided to take retirement from international cricket after playing the upcoming ICC T20 World Cup.

While having a chat with media around Gadaffi Stadium, he clearly denounced his plans which he has set for after ICC T20 WC. However, Hafeez has been called for three-match T20I series against Bangladesh which is to be begin from 24th of January.

“For me, ICC T2O WC is the main target. I wish to play the mega event after which I am planning to exit from international cricket. It’s my plan, let’s see how it goes on,” said Hafeez.

Hafeez is happy to be selected for national side to play against Bangladesh at home ground. He added, “It is yet another opportunity for me, especially before the T20 WC. I am looking forward to give my one hundred percent and contribute worthy for my team,” He added.

Hafeez is all set to give bowling action test for which previously being illegal became a cause for his suspension. For this, he added to the chat, “I am ready to give the bowling action test whenever the ICC (International Cricket Council) calls me. On the other hand, the experienced player is gonna miss the bowling against Bangladesh.

“Bowling is one of my positives in the game and I will miss bowling against Bangladesh”, said Hafeez.

Also he thinks that international cricket has made his way back entirely to pakistan as more teams are willing to tour the country. For this, he added,

“I am happy to see Bangladesh coming. The continuity of international cricket in the country is helping PCB to bring more foreign teams.”

The 39 years old veteran is happy to play for the national side and expects more crowd in the stadiums in order to support them. The training sessions are going on in Lahore at Gadaffi Stadium and the matches between Bangladesh and Pakistan are to begin from Janary 24th, 2020.
