Pakistan have lost their second match of ICC Test Championship against Australia at Adelaide and this second defeat in a row has slide them to eight position on the rank table of ICC Men’s Test rankings.
Pakistan have shown bitter nasty performance which is an alarming situation for Cricket Pakistan. However, Australia have gained 120 points from the entire victorious series against Pakistan and have moved to second position. The table is lead by team India and Australians are following them with total points of 176.
As far as the other teams rankings are concerned, India are on the top position after their 2-0 win over the Tigers last month. Skipper Virat Kohli and the team have 360 points in the Test Championship, having won all their seven matches. New Zealand and England are second and third on the list. South Africa, who lost to India 3-0, are placed fourth. The Aussies are hanging in the fifth slot with Sri Lanka following them. However, if ICC Test Championship rankings are concerned, Aussies rank second there.
Pakistan in both matches started horribly. Yasir Shah, Babar Azam and Shan Masood tried hard with the bat but, their efforts went in vain. David Warner raced his way to an unbeaten 335 after which Pakistan couldn’t find any way of making their way back into the encounter. The visitors lost the first Test at The Gabba by an innings and five runs and also the second at Adelaide.
Also, Pakistan have lost 14 tests in a row in Australia. Management and the fans hope for betterment in future in other upcoming matches of the event.
