South African Cricketer, AB De Villiers will not be a part of HBL PSL 2020. He has informed his unavailability to the management of his franchise, Lahore Qalandars for the season five of Pakistan Super League.
De Villiers, who has recently retired from international cricket had been signed by Lahore Qalandars for their franchise last year.
Although, he had promised that he will come to Lahore for the tournament but, his back injury became the reason for his unavailability last year as well after giving appearance in seven of the matches.
While a lot of prominent and professionalise names from the world of cricket has signed the contract for PSL 2020, it would be sad for the fans to listen that he might not be featuring in fifth edition of PSL.
On the other hand, HBL PSL has gained popularity in just its four seasons played. Almost 40 overseas players have been called off for the tournament who are waiting enthusiastically for being a part of it and coming to Pakistan.
However, Habib Bank Limited (HBL) Pakistan Super League (PSL) Draft will take place on December 6 whereas, the tournament will be staged entirley in Pakistan with an action set to start in February 2020.
